Rebecca Ruiz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. She strives to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which individuals can be supported in their efforts to grow and heal. Rebecca knows no single approach is right for everyone and utilizes an eclectic approach tailored to the unique needs of each individual to help meet their goals. She is a listening ear that works with each individual from a strength-based perspective while incorporating a variety of evidence-based therapies.
In addition, Rebecca possesses a Master Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Delaware State University. She's been working as a Social Worker in a variety of settings including child welfare, out-patient treatment and inpatient psychiatric treatment for over the past 10 years. Rebecca also concurrently spent several years in the Philadelphia Prison System and St. Christopher's Hospital for Children completing evaluations, providing brief solution-focus therapy and crisis intervention services. As a seasoned and competent therapist, Rebecca is equipped to help others blossom and flourish.

Rebecca offers free 15 minutes consultations to anyone wanting to make sure she is a good fit for you. Rates will be discussed during the consultation.
Insurance
Insurance is not accepted at this time. A receipt will be provided so that you may apply for reimbursement.

Pay pal and all major credit cards are accepted
Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay 50% of the cost of the session.
Sliding Scale Fees are available on a limited basis, please inquire for more information.
Confidentiality & Privacy Policy
The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.
Exceptions include:

Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.

If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.

If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in insuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.
